What You Didn’t See on Compassion Sunday
Last Sunday, Pastor Joel brought a strong message that challenged our church to demonstrate the love of Jesus in a very tangible way by sponsoring children through Compassion International. Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults.
Pastor Joel showed a video that shared the story of one man who had been sponsored through Compassion International. Hearing him tell the story of the difference this made in his life was powerful – but there was more you didn’t see. The video was recorded last Fall at a pastors’ conference, and what came next was unforgettable. Here’s the whole video – be sure to watch what happens beginning at the 7:20 mark…
Kaleo, you responded to the stirring of God’s Spirit on Sunday – every single one of the children we had available were sponsored. Way to go! Many of you asked how you could be involved if you weren’t able to sponsor a child last Sunday. It’s simple – just click here and go to the Compassion International site. There, you’ll be able to get signed up to sponsor a child of your own.
Our hope is that individuals, families, and community groups throughout Kaleo will continue to sponsor dozens and even hundreds children in the years to come – making a difference in the lives of these children that will last for eternity.
