Missions

Kaleo has partnered with some fantastic organizations to help take the gospel to our city and our world.

Our desire is to help people continually grow in their influence with others, making a difference in the world around them. A huge part of this is a commitment to missions work – spreading the Gospel of Jesus in Houston, in the USA, and around the world. Kaleo is currently involved supporting:

Local

Life Center for the Homeless is a shelter located near downtown Houston at 4516 Old Yale, 77018. It provides food, clothing, drug and alcohol counseling, and most importantly, spiritual guidance.

Kaleo is actively involved with assisting its founder and director, Pastor Winston James, with many aspects of this non-profit organization, including ongoing financial support, regular Bible study visits with the residents and working on facility  improvements. Donations of food, paper products, and clothing for adults are gratefully accepted.  Pastor James can be reached at 832.292.3235 or via email. Sojourn Community Church is a new Acts 29 Network church forming in the historic Houston Heights. Led by Pastor Joseph Turner, Sojourn seeks to renew peoples and cultures through the gospel of Jesus Christ. (more information)

Covenant Community Church is a new Acts 29 Network church in Pearland targeting the unchurched of the younger generation as well as the over-churched nominal Christianity that is rampant in the South. CCC is led by Pastor Daniel Davis. They are in the initial stages of forming, and are seeking people interested in helping bring renewal to Pearland, south Houston, and the world. (more information)

The Acts 29 Network exists to start churches that plant churches. God is using our network to influence and shape the church planting culture through both solid theology and contextualizing the gospel. We are planting churches that are missionaries in their respective communities sent by Christ with the gospel (John 20:21). It is our desire to plant 1,000 new churches in the next 10 years. International

Angel Stidham is currently serving as a missionary in East Asia. Working with Campus Crusade for Christ, Angel is spreading the Gospel among university students who may have never heard the message of Jesus Christ before. (more information)

Mission in Health Care and Development (MHCD Africa) is an organization serving the poor, sick, abused, and marginalized in Kenya and Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire). MHCD supports orphaned and street children, widows, rape victims, treats people with chronic diseases, and provides education to children. (more information)

Acts 29 International is the global arm of the Acts 29 network, training pastors and movement leaders who have started churches in Canada, Africa, India, Central America, South America, and Thailand. (more information)
