(Genesis 29:31-30:24) From the marginalized and the weak comes the One who sees us, hears us, is attached to us, and redeems us.

We’re moving on to a new section in our study through the book of Genesis. On May 6th we began a series called Jacob’s New Life, walking through Genesis 29-36. These chapters explore the amazing series of events that unfold in Jacob’s life surrounding his marriages, his children, and his ultimate reconciliation with Esau. Nothing about Jacob’s life has been easy or ordinary, but this section of Scripture has much to teach us about God’s sovereignty, love, and forgiveness.

(Genesis 29:1-30)-While Leah appears to be a minor character in this passage, Pastor Joel shows how God’s love speaks to her and anyone else feeling unworthy.

(Genesis 28:10-22)-God reveals himself to Jacob in a dream, Jacob responds in worship, and real life change happens after his genuine encounter with God.

(Genesis 27:1-45) In a story overflowing with the darkness of sin, God’s grace comes to undeserving people in extraordinary circumstances.

(Genesis 26) God is faithful and present in all places at all times, no matter what we do.

(Acts 10:34-43) Jesus is alive! And we celebrate his resurrection remembering that he is the ultimate peacemaker, lord of everything, and the perfect sacrifice for sin.

(Zechariah 9:9-12) Jesus is a righteous king whose rule brings salvation and peace; so we rejoice!

(Genesis 25:29-34) As the relationship between Jacob and Esau unfolds, each of their sin is clearly on display, and God’s choice to bless Jacob is a powerful example of his grace.
